EAST at Gardner .....
We invite you to be a part of EAST @ Gardner where we focus on Self-Directed Learning, Community Service, Advanced Technology, and Teamwork!
What is EAST? The EAST model of education features student-driven service projects accomplished with the latest in technology. EAST classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art workstations, servers, software, and accessories, including GPS/GIS mapping tools, architectural and CAD design software, 3D animation suites, and much more. Students find problems in their local communities, and then use these tools to solve them. EAST’s focus, however, is not on technology itself, but on the unique learning environment of the EAST classroom.
In EAST, students are responsible for creating their own lesson plans. There are no lectures and no tests; instead, the students are guided by an EAST facilitator (a teacher trained in the EAST process). This radically different approach to learning yields tremendous results. Students are better-prepared for their future, and they care more about learning and serving their communities.

EARLY COLLEGE AWARENESS DAY....
GRADUATION GUIDES YOUR FUTURE!
Kindergarten graduation, then high school graduation, then...COLLEGE GRADUATION. That’s Gardner’s goal for EVERY STUDENT. We want our students to visualize graduation and we have launched an early college awareness campaign in our school district.
Our new tradition is to wear college t-shirts on the LAST TUESDAY of each month. This will remind us all that we are STUDENTS TODAY...... GRADUATES TOMORROW!

DRESS APPROPRIATELY FOR P. E.
* Mr. Buth suggests that students wear tennis shoes for days they have Physical Education class.
* We’ve had students in sandals and flip flops that are not made for running and exercise.
* Gardner cannot replace shoes that break. We can not call parents to bring more shoes for their child / children.
They will have to sit out.
* Thanks for your assistance!
